After Darren Aronofsky bailed from the Wolverine sequel staring Hugh Jackman and the devastating quake in Japan, it was looking like the movie might be in jeopardy. Now it looks FOX has finally settled on their new man to helm the project in veteran director James Mangold.
Mangold may not be a household name like Aronofsky or Christopher Nolan, but he has been the director behind some pretty big films. Here’s the short list of his body of works: Knight and Day, 3:10 to Yuma, Walk the Line, Copland.
Aside from the debauchery that is of Knight and Day, Mangold is no slouch.
They plan is to shoot the majority of the film in Japan this fall, and we should have a brand new Wolverine epic on the big screen before the end of 2012.
