Jemaine Clement who is best known for his role in “Flight of the Conchords” has been cast as the villain in the upcoming “Men in Black III.”
The New Zealand-born singer will join Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Josh Brolin (who will play a younger version of Jones’ character, Agent K in director Barry Sonnenfeld’s third installment of the sci-fi action comedy.
Not much is known about the story or what kind of villain Clement will be, other than his character’ name is “Yaz” and is described as being charming yet creepy.
“Men in Black III” which will also be in 3D isn’t expected to hit theaters until May 25, 2012. Production won’t begin until later this year.
The singer-turned-actor has starred in a number of films in recent years including “Gentlemen Broncos” alongside Sam Rockwell and Jennifer Coolidge and he will soon be hitting cinemas in Steve Carell and Paul Rudd’s “Dinner for Schmucks.”
