Comic and television writer Jeph Loeb was named Executive VP, Head of Television by Marvel Entertainment today. He, along with Dan Buckley, Publisher & President of Print, Animation & Digital Divisions, will assist in adapting Marvel-owned properties to the small screen, in both live-action and animated forms. He will also have a hand in the company’s future direct-to-DVD releases.
I couldn’t be happier to accept this new position at Marvel Entertainment, working with both Dan and Alan to deliver exciting, cutting edge television projects,” sayeth the Loeb. “Marvel continues to break new ground in storytelling in both their comic book and film ventures, so, along with everyone here, I’m excited to bring the same brand of excitement into homes across the globe.
Loeb is well-suited for his new position having written several Marvel titles as well has worked on television projects that include: Smallville, Lost, and Heroes.
