According to several unconfirmed reports, the full trailer for J.J. Abrams’ mysterious new sci-fi movie “Super 8” is set to debut in theaters this weekend.
It’s rumored to be attached to copies of “Battle: Los Angeles” and “Red Riding Hood.” Meanwhile, the Government of Alberta has the new “Super 8” trailer clocked in at a full two minutes and eleven seconds.
From the looks of the newest TV Spot, “Super 8” appears to be more of a lighthearted sci-fi that will pay tribute to films like Spielberg’s “ET,” “Close Encounters of a Third Kind” and maybe even a little “Mac and Me.”
It stars Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, Gabriel Basso and AJ Michalka.
“Super 8” invades theaters June 4th.

The Paramount Pictures release is set in Ohio in 1979 and introduces a troupe of six youngsters who are using a Super 8 camera to make their own zombie movie. One fateful night, their project takes them to a lonely stretch of rural railroad tracks and, as the camera rolls, calamity strikes — a truck collides with an oncoming locomotive and a hellacious derailment fills the night with screaming metal and raining fire.
