…and once again, the film finds its way back to the edge of a cliff that will probably land it back in the hands of Marvel/ Disney. When they named Carnahan to the project a couple of weeks ago, people were pretty excited and it looked like the film could start moving in time to get it made inside the existing license.
I think it is all pretty well summed up in what Carnahan Tweeted earlier today:
Think my idea for a certain retro, red-suited, Serpico-styled superhero went up in smoke today kids.
We shall see. Time is NOT on anyone’s side.
Chances are that after that kind of a response, Carnahan is a lot less attached to the project than he was 24 hours ago.
The clock is ticking and Fox has less than 2 months to make something happen.
