We reported the rumors late last month, now we have the confirmation: ‘The Killing’ Star Joel Kinnaman is signed to play the lead in the Robocop Reboot!
This is a major coup for the film’s director, Jose Padilha, who has been looking for the right man to play Murphy for a while now. Kinnaman turned a loto f heads with his work on AMC’s The Killing last year. He was set to actually star as Lancelot in an upcoming film from Warner Bros, but the shelving of that project has opened up the opportunity for him to put on a whole different kind of armor.
Add this to the previous announcement that Nick Schenk, the writer behind ‘Gran Torino’ is working on the script and it looks like we might be in for something pretty spectacular.
