A few weeks ago we reported that Preacher development had stalled and it appeared as if it would never begin any real development. Well good news, DC/Vertigo’s supernatural epic now has a writer, and that would be John Auguest!
John Auguest, who was set to pen his comic book adaptation of Shazam! is now on board to script Sam Mendes’ Preacher script. While all this is good news for Preacher, don’t expect a script to pop up anytime soon. Currently Auguest is also working on another project entitled, Frankenweenie, which sadly has had more progress than Preacher.
With a director and writer set finally, it’s time to resume the guessing/hoping game of who will play what character…
