“The Ghost Writer” co-star Jon Bernthal has been cast in AMC and Frank Darabont’s zombie drama “Walking Dead.”
Bernthal is set to play the main character Rick Grimes’s best friend Shane in the series that’s based off Robert Kirkman’s comic series of the same name. “The Walking Dead” centers around Rick, a small-town police officer and a number of survivors who banded together in order to survive after the world is overrun with zombies.
While early reviews for the zombie drama pilot has been fairly negative citing that it was “boring,” I have full confidence in AMC who’s known for their high quality series such as “Mad Men.”
Filming for Darabount’s “Walking Dead” begins in May.
