After years of rumors about Fletch Reboots staring everyone from Ben Affleck to Jason Lee, it’s now been officially announced that Jon Hamm will be taking up the mantle last held by Chevy Chase for a new film reboot of the comedy-mystery series based on Gregory Mcdonald‘s books.
the role appears to be something of a dream gig for Hamm who told Esquire magazine Fletch was the movie he’s probably seen more than any other in his life. Despite several attempts to reboot the franchise, this is the first film to be officially announced since the lackluster ‘Fletch Lives’ from 1989.

Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
