CBM is reporting from an unnamed source that Joseph Gordon-Levitt might be in line to play the mobster Alberto Falcone in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.”
As of now I’d take it with a grain of salt, but having Falcone in the film wouldn’t be much of a stretch because it wouldn’t quite be Gotham without gangsters.
In addition, Alberto Falcone is the son of crime boss Carmine Falcone, played by Tom Wilkinson in “Batman Begins.” Not only would this be a good fit for continuity, but Falcone also has ties to Selena Kyle (Catwoman) and has been a prominent character in the Batman graphic novels.
At this point, we’re not even sure if Gordon-Levitt will be in the new Batman film, but if he is, he has more potential to be Falcone than say, Riddler or any other of Batman’s more colorful and psychotic rogues.
