The Wrap is reporting that Chronicle/ Parenthood star Michael B Jordan is up for the role of Johhny Storm in the new super hero reboot.
Jordan and Trank have previously worked together on Chronicle. Jordan’s co-star from Chronicle, Dane Dehaan is currently playing the role of Harry Osborne in the Amazing Spider-Man 2.
If this is true, it means that this will definitely be a different interpretation of the Fantastic Four Story. Johnny Storm/ Human Torch is the brother of Sue Storm/ The Invisible Woman. Girls star, Allison Williams is currently in talks for the role of Sue Storm and she is white, while Jordan is black. Maybe they are half-siblings, or maybe we are getting a whole new back story. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
