Judd Apatow (Freaks and Geeks) is gearing up for a new comedy in which he will write, produce and direct. Apatow will team with Universal Pictures once again with their sights set for a June 1, 2012 release.
Absolutely nothing is known at this time, but what we can tell you is that this will be the fourth time Apatow will team with Universal, having made “The 40 Year Old Virgin,” “Knocked Up” and “Funny People” under their banner.
While Apatow’s latest film, “Funny People” was a flop, I enjoyed it a lot more than his previous and more popular films. It would be nice to see Apatow continue with the more subdued comedic-dramatic style rather than the raunchy teen humor that made him a star. But that’s just me. And hey, it’s still not too late for a “Freaks and Geeks” movie!
