After a decade Judd Apatow’s cult series “Freaks and Geeks” and “Undeclared” are returning to cable on IFC.
The cable channel has acquired all 18 produced episodes of the NBC dramedy, created by Paul Feig and produced by Apatow, as well as all 17 segments of the Fox comedy, created and produced by Apatow, from Paramount Pictures.
“Freaks and Geeks” is set to premiere this Friday, while “Undeclared” won’t debut until the fall featuring a previously unaired episode.
Both of Apatow’s short lived series are considered cult classics and help break in a ton of new young talents who have since gone off to Hollywood with promising careers. Actors such as Jay Baruchel (How To Train your Dragon), James Franco (Spider-Man), Seth Rogen (Knocked Up), Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Jenna Fischer (The Office), John Francis Daley (Bones), Linda Cardellini (ER), Martin Starr (Adventureland) and more.
