‘Jumanji’ Releases 2 New Trailers

Two new trailers are out for Jumanji and the rules of the game have been made very clear. While we don’t know what our teens turned avatars will have to do to get out of Jumanji, we do know that they only have three lives to do it.

I’m not expecting a ton out of this movie, but I give it some credit for taking the story in enough of a new direction while still seemingly having some reasonable to connection to the original. We don’t know who made the video game, or anything like that yet, but they are leaning on board game enough in the trailers that you’d have to imagine it will somehow come into play.

Meanwhile, the cast of The Rock, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillen, Jack Black, and Nick Jonas seems solid, though I’ve got a feeling that Black’s teen girl schtick is going to grow old by the end of the film’s first act.
