DC Fandome did not hold back when they released the first full trailer for Zack Snyder’s completed “Snyder Cut” of Justice League today. The trailer, set against Leonard Cohen‘s “Hallelujah” aims to undue the mixed reputation of the theatrical cut of the film that many fans believe was horribly mishandled by Joss Whedon.
The tone is grittier and far more “Snydery.” There’s footage of Superman in the black suit, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, and our best look yet at Darkseid. In all, the new trailer seems to be pretty much made of almost entirely previously unseen footage. Now we just have to wait until 2021 for the film to exclusively hit HBO Max. Oh, and about that, it won’t just be released as a film. The Snyder Cut is heading to the streaming network as a four-part mini-series made up of one-hour long episodes! Will all of this be movie, or will be also be seeing some behind the scenes work of how the Snyder Cut was finished? Either way, we are looking at an expansion of the film from the two hour theatrical release to a mind-boggling four-hours.
