Is it just me… or did this movie just get a whole lot more frakkin interesting? OK, I’m admittedly already pretty interested in Riddick, but adding Katee Sackhoff is just awesome! News of the casting just came down in the last hour or so.
She’ll be playing the role of a Nordic Mercenary who has been hired to track down Vin Diesel’s Riddick. Her name will be Dahl. Adding her to the cast that already includes Diesel and Karl Urban means that we are gearing up for what might end up being a full on geekgasm.
Official Synopsis:
Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
