Fox has greenlit a new drama series pilot from “Dawson’s Creek” and “Vampire Diaries” creator Kevin Williamson, which stars Kevin Bacon as an FBI profiler tracking down a serial killer.
EW.com has been described as an “edge-of-the-seat thriller about a diabolical serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers, and a retired FBI profiler (Bacon) who finds himself in the middle of it.”
The 53-year-old actor has previously avoided a number of high-profile TV offers, but according to Deadline, the untitled series would be restricted to 15 episodes per season instead of the typical 22 of most network shows, allowing Bacon more time for his family.
The series is being produced by Warner Bros. TV.
