If you’ve ever watched Home Alone, you know that Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) went far beyond cartoon violence to defend his home from the wet bandits. The things he did would probably land most adults in jail, if not in some human rights tribunal. Had it not been a family holiday movie, you can bet that both of the crooks would have been dead long before the film reached its climax. In Knuckleball, it looks like we are getting an updated version of the story, but with an R-Rating and the kid-gloves nowhere in sight.
In the movie, Henry is a 12-year-old boy who finds himself all alone in a storm when his grandfather dies in his sleep. When he goes looking for help, he knocks on the wrong door and thus begins a life-or-death game of cat and mouse with a psychopath.
Knuckleball stars: Michael Ironside (Starship Troopers), Munro Chambers (Turbo Kid), Luca Villacis (Channel Zero), Kathleen Munroe (Resurrection), and Chenier Hundal (Arrow). It’s set to hit theaters and VOD on October 5th.
“Alone, and targeted on an isolated farm, 12-year-old Henry finds himself at the center of a maelstrom of terror, and a dark family legacy, when his secretive grandfather dies suddenly in the night.”
