The first trailer for Kraven the Hunter has dropped from Sony and everyone wants to know if the new Spider-Verse film will be more Venom or more Morbius. Honestly, the trailer doesn’t do a great job of setting up fans for a quality movie, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be fun. Besides, even if it sucks, we can still trick Sony into re-releasing it by making #CravingKraven a thing.
In the new film. Aaron Taylor Johnson plays the Kraven, a hunter who hunts the evil his father puts into the world (Russell Crowe) with the help of is mystical connection to the animal kingdom. In the comics, Kraven derives his skill from nearly 100 years of hunting experience and a serum that gives him enhances speed, strength, and senses. In the film, however, it looks like a lion bleeds into an open wound on Kraven’s chest, connecting him to the entire animal kingdom. One thing that seems to be true in both the comics and the film is that Kraven does not use guns.
It appears that we’re going to get an origin film of a Kraven that starts off as more of an anti-hero before eventually devolving into the villain that he has sworn to take down.
Once you’re on his list, there’s only one way off. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is #KravenTheHunter – watch the red band trailer now. The hunt is on exclusively in movie theaters October.
