The deliriously cute Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars, Forgetting Sarah Marshall), has signed on to star in Andy Fickman’s new Disney comedy “You Again.”
Bell will play a woman horrified to learn that her brother is marrying the same girl who tormented her back in high school. The story will center around how Bell will plot to make sure her brother knows just how much of a bitch his intended fiancee really is.
This will be the second time Bell has worked with Fickman (Race to Witch Mountain), who was one of his leads in “Reefer Madness.”
“You Again” starts lensing this summer. Dave Johnson and Moe Jelline are slated to pen the script.
Disney has been keen on Bell since tapping her to star in Touchstone’s romantic comedy “When in Rome” alongside Josh Duhamel and Dax Shepard. It unspools in August.
Bell provides a regular voiceover on the CW’s “Gossip Girl” and was seen on NBC’s “Heroes.” Since last year’s “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” she’s also landed a co-starring role in the Universal comedy “Couple’s Retreat,” due out in October, and is the lead female voice in the animated pic “Astro Boy,” also out that month.
