LEAK – First Look At James Gunn’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Characters

Warner Bros has kept a pretty tight lid on James Gunn’s reboot/sequel of Suicide Squad for the DCEU, but thanks to Animatedtimes, we are getting our first look at leaked images of some of the characters.

These first look images give us a peek at not only who some of the characters are playing, but they also give us a clue about the tone of the new film, which seems to be going much lighter and comicbookish than the David Ayer version. In the pics that were leaked, we can finally confirm that Nathan Fillion is playing Blackguard, Pete Davidson is Savant, Mayling Ng is Mongal, and Flula Borg playing Javelin.

They join a monster-sized cast that also includes: David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Jai Courtney, Joaquin Cosio, Nathan Fillion, Joel Kinnaman, Sean Gunn, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Taika Waititi, Alice Braga, Steve Agee, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Margot Robbie, and Michael Rooker.

As far as who is playing who, much of the cast is still a mystery. We know that Margot Robbie will be Harley Quinn again, Jai Courntey is returning as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman is still Rick Flag. and Viola Davis is also reprising her role as Amanda Waller. Additionally, a Reddit leak is alleging that Idris Elba will be Vigilante. Storm Reid is Vigilante’s daughter, Drew. Tinashe Kajese is Vigilante’s ex wife, Denise. Alice Braga will Black Orchid. Michael Rooker is Shrapnel. Jennifer Holland is Dr Karen Grace. Taika Waititi will be Ravan. and finally, Peter Capaldi is the Thinker, who may or may not be the film’s big bad.
