The red band trailer for David Fincher’s US remake of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” has been bootlegged, unofficially, officially giving us our first look at the remake based on Stieg Larsson’s Swedish crime thriller trilogy, The Millennium Series.
The trailer doesn’t bother to explain the plot of the story and plays out with quick cuts set to Trent Reznor and Karen O’s cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song.” Given the nature and popularity of this story, it makes sense for Columbia to produce a trailer as such. What’s strange however, it how it seems to play out in chronological order giving us a glimpse of the entire film and of course of Rooney Mara as hacker sleuth Lisbeth Salander and Daniel Craig as journalist Mikael Blomkvist.
Due to the red band uncensored nature of the trailer, it’s NSFW (side boob!).
“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” stars Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, Robin Wright, Max von Sydow, Christopher Plummer, Joely Richardson, Steven Berkoff, David Dencik and Alexandra Daddario.
Fans can expect the US remake this December 21st, 2011.
