Leonardo DiCaprio is at it again. Not only is he working on live action remakes of “Akira” and “Ninja Scroll,” but according to Production Weekly, he is “looking to reboot the 80’s thriller WarGames at MGM.”
If you are a child of the 80’s, there’s a good chance that the words” Would you like to play a game?” are forever etched into your mind. If you aren’t than you missed out and you have a lot of stuff to add on to your Netflix Queue. Start with simple things like “Neverending Story,” “Dark Crystal” and “One Crazy Summer.”
The original starred Matthew Broderick as a kid who hacks into a super intelligent military computer. The computer goes haywire and starts confusing games with reality, and pushes the world to the bring of World War III.
This isn’t the first time the movie has been revisited, last year there was a DTV sequel called “Wargames: Deadcode.” This new project will most likely be a full reboot of the series.
Superman is currently scheduled for release on July 11, 2025
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
