Lionsgate Will Split Hunger Games Finale “Mockingjay” Into Two Parts

In the tradition of Harry Potter and Twilight, Hunger Games will be splitting their finale into two parts. The announcement came down a little while ago from Lionsgate film, despite the fact that the second film in the series (Catching Fire) will not even start filming until this fall.

Deadline is reporting that Mockingjay Part 1 will hit theaters November 21, 2014 and the end of the saga, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will come out a year later on November 20, 2015.

Catching Fire is set for a a November 22, 2013 Release.
