If you’re looking for a comedy with a little something different, it might be worth checking out Netflix’s Love Wedding Repeat when it drops on the streaming network April 10.
The new romantic comedy, starring Sam Claflin, Olivia Munn, and Frieda Pinto tells the story of a perfect wedding day where nothing goes perfect at all. If the trailer is accurate, it looks like we’ll be watching the wedding unfold over and over again as the main characters try to prevent disaster so that everyone can get their happy ending. If they pull it off, it could end up with a very Groundhog’s Day meets Edge of Tomorrow vibe that could be very endearing.
In this innovative romantic comedy about the power of chance, alternate versions of the same wedding unfold as Jack (Sam Claflin) tries to make sure his little sister has the perfect wedding day. But he’ll have to juggle an angry ex-girlfriend, an uninvited guest with a secret, a misplaced sleep sedative, and unexpectedly reuniting with the girl of his dreams who got away, Dina (Olivia Munn). If he succeeds, Jack might find a happy ending of his own.
