Lucasfilm To Convert ‘Indiana Jones’ Into 3D

Following the news that James Cameron is currently converting “Titanic” for 3D and the recent announcement that George Lucas is planning to rerelease “Star Wars” in 3D, I suppose it was only a matter of time before we got the news that “Indiana Jones” would also be converted for 3D.

Lucasfilm is planning on re-releasing the entire Indiana Jones franchise in the same fashion as “Star Wars” with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” being the first converted film released. While I don’t think a crappy 3D conversion is going to get me excited nor is it even necessary, Blue Sky Disney believes otherwise, here’s what they had to say:

Next month, Lucasfilm will announce that they’re converting the Indiana Jones Saga to 3D as well. The films will be converted and released in a similar fashion as the Star Wars films with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” the first out of the gate.

The nightmare is slowly coming true. At this rate, every film from “Plan 9 From Outer Space” to “The Bad News Bears” will get a 3D conversion. I blame you general public with stupid stupid kids. This is all on you, every time you pay extra to go see some crappy movie with a 3D conversion. There’s blood in the water and the Hollywood sharks have picked up the scent. Way to go.
