‘Lucifer’ Officially Renewed For Sixth and Final Season On Netflix

Yesterday we reported on the official release date for the fifth season of Lucifer on Netflix (new episodes drop August, 21). Today we’ve got new on the future and the end of the show. Originally, season five was to be the end of the series, but the numbers were so good that Netflix must have backed a truck full of money up to Tom Ellis to get him to stick around for one more year.

With season 4 ending on a massive cliffhanger and season five allegedly just four days from finishing filming before the COVID-19 shut down, it’ll be interesting to see how they take what was already set up to be a series finale and then create a good enough reason to keep it around for one more year.
