Despite the recent delay of shooting and the challenges of drafting the perfect script, Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man 4” will happen and the Vulture appears as a lock to do battle with everyone’s favorite Wall Crawlers.
In a chat about his involvement in “Spider-Man 4” with “Quelli Che il Calcio,” an Italian soccer TV show, John Malkovich did not deny he would play the tole of Adrian Toomes, the Vulture. He did confirm however that he was awaiting the script and added that he hopes filming would start soon, reports Badtatse.it.
With this news we can safely confirm that Malovich will be the Vulture, an aged crook with a pair of hi-tech mechanical vulture wings. However, unclear still is Anne Hathaway’s involvement. Early speculations lead many to believe she’d tackle the role of the Black Cat AkA Felicia Hardy, but recent rumors has suggested otherwise. Hinting that her involvement would be as a female vulture, “The Vultress,” a new character for the movie.
“Spider-Man 4” won’t hit theaters until sometime in 2011. In the meantime, we can sigh a bit of relief knowing that at least Malkovich is involved and worry profusely about the possibility of a “Vultress.”
