Marisa Tomei has been everything from the best friend to Spider-Man’s aunt in her movie career, but the one thing she’s never really done is play the baddy. That is all about to change in Sweet Girl, Jason Mamoa’s new action flick for Netflix. In the film, Tomei finds herself up against a vengeance-seeking Mamoa who wants the people responsible for the death of his family to pay. We’d have to assume that she’s the big brain behind the whole thing because… let’s face it… we’re pretty sure he would kill her in a fight.
Joining them both in the new film are Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Raza Jaffrey, Adria Arjona, Justin Bartha, Lex Scott Davis, Michael Raymond-James, Dominic Fumusa, Brian Howe, Nelson Franklin and Reggie Lee.
While we don’t have a lot by way of story details to look at for the film, the idea of Tomei playing the bad guy is really intriguing and it sounds like it could be a lot of fun!
