Just moments after the world learned that the title of Star Wars: Episode VIII was going to be ‘The Last Jedi,’ The Associated Press happened to be in the lucky position of finding themselves right in front of Mark Hamill, the man who might very well be “The Last Jedi.” Here’s what he said when they asked him about the announcement:

“He told me that when we were making the movie and I said, ‘Don’t tell me these things. I talk in my sleep. They have us so jacked up with paranoia over leaks. But that’s the way of the world. It’s funny ’cause back when we were making the original nobody cared.”

He then got down to the actual title and his thoughts on them: “It’s got a real samurai [feel]. It’s straightforward and minimalist, and I like that.”
