One of the biggest pay offs of Marvel’s Ant-Man was the introduction of the Wasp suit at the very end. Now, in a big bunch of movie news that Marvel dropped today about release dates, they’ve included the official name for the Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and The Wasp. Among other things, this means that Marvel will be adding another much needed female hero to the roster, and that it’s almost a lock that Evangeline Lily’s Hope Van Dyne will be appearing in the next Avengers film. Incidentally, the release date for the film makes it the first film to hit theaters after Avengers: Infinity War Part 1.
As far as the other shifts and dates, Here’s what was released today:
February 16, 2018 – Black Panther (Previously July 6, 2018)
July 6, 2018 – Ant-Man and the Wasp (Previously unannounced)
March 8, 2019 – Captain Marvel (Previously November 2, 2018)
May 1, 2020 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film
July 10, 2020 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film
November 6, 2020 – Untitled Marvel Studios Film
