It’s a pretty safe bet that Marvel’s Ihumans are never going to get their own film, but they are going to hit the big screen this year when the first couple episodes of their new series premiers on IMAX screens before heading to ABC. Today, we are getting our first look at the royal family and they look… OK? Honestly, I’m not really sure what I was thinking, but the characters in the comics lean so far towards the fantastical, that the new promo image leaves me feeling more like I’m looking at solid cosplay than Marvel’s next franchise.
The Inhumans, a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers, were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. “Marvel’s The Inhumans” will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family.
Inhumans stars: Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Ken Leung as Karnak, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Mike Moh as Triton, Sonya Balmores as Auran, and Ellen Woglom in an undisclosed role.
