The first trailer for Kevin Smith’s new He-Man sequel series, Masters of the Universe: Revelation just dropped from Netflix and it sets up an action-packed adventure “40 years” in the making. As we’ve previously reported, the new series is a direct sequel to the iconic animated series from the 1980s. We don’t know all the details yet, but if the character design of Orko is any indication, our heroes are in at least a slightly darker place than where we left them at the end of their old show.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation stars Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena, Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man, original Skeletor voice actor Alan Oppenheimer as Moss Man, Chris Wood as He-Man, Liam Cunningham as Man-At-Arms, Griffin Newman as Orco, Stephen Root as Cringer, Diedrich Bader as King Randor and Trap Jaw, Tiffany Smith as Andra, Henry Rollins as Tri-Klops, Susan Eisenberg as Sorceress, Jason Mewes as Stinkor, Phil LaMarr as He-Ro, Tony Todd as Scare Glow, Cree Summer as Priestess, Kevin Michael Richardson as Beast Man, and Harley Quinn Smith as Ileena.
From Executive Producer Kevin Smith, comes an epic story that picks up where the 80’s series left off and brings the power of Grayskull back to the world. Part 1 of Masters of the Universe: Revelation premieres July 23, only on Netflix.
