‘Men In Black III’ Will See A 2012 Release

Recently we reported that director Barry Sonnenfeld confirmed that Will Smith (and Tommy Lee Jones to an extent) will be back for “Men in Black III” 3D. Sony Pictures has since set a release date for the film at May 24, 2012.

As if 2012 isn’t insane enough, “MiB 3” will be jammed in between other highly anticipated films such as “The Avengers,” “Star Trek 2”, Sony’s own Spider-Man reboot, and Nolan’s “Batman 3.”

Although Smith is the only returning actor officially signed up, we’re lead to believe that negotiations have been going smoothly between Sony Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin. So unless otherwise noted, it’s safe to assume they appear in the picture.

Special Effects artists Rick Baker is already hard at work designing some new alien creatures, and David Koepp is currently polishing up the script.
