Like a sneaky ninja thespian, Michael Cera (Juno, Nick& Nora), has somehow found the time in his busy schedule to make a part-documentary, part-scripted comedy without evoking much if any wide spread media attention. Well until now that is.
Paper Hearts, which is expected to hit at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in January, will focus on the relationship between Cera and his real-life girlfriend, comedienne Charlyne Yi.
Directed by Nicholas Jasenovec, Paper Hearts is his first film and does not yet have a distributor. Cera, who has lately resembled the cash cow who swallowed the golden goose, can apparently do no wrong. Paper Hearts is already highly anticipated and presumed to be a Sundance hit.
