Out of respect for the late Michael Jackson who passed last Thursday, the team behind “Bruno” have decided to remove a scene referencing the King of Pop.
The scene which will now be sliced from the premiere print involves Sacha Baron Cohen’s Austrian reporter interviewing LaToya Jackson, while cracking about her brother’s voice and trying to get his number from her phone.
“We decided to take it out for tonight, and we’ll reassess before the release whether to keep it out,” director Larry Charles told The Hollywood Reporter at the premiere’s party.
Of course, this doesn’t mean the scene is gone for good. Whether or not it’ll turn up on Blu-Ray or the DVD is another matter entirely. Chances are, it probably will, as the timing would be better then.
