THR is reporting that Microsoft has ordered a new season of “the Guild.” For those of you who aren’t in the know, The guild is the story of a group of WoW gamers and the drama and comedy that occurs both in game and when their real worlds collide. Even better,t he show’s star and brainchild is none other than Dr. Horrible Beauty, Felicia Day.
Felicia is currently working on the scripts for this third batch of 12 episodes in anticipation of a June production start.
Having also starred in another online hit this year, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog,” Day is gratified to be continuing with “Guild.” “It’s exciting, after doing ‘Dr. Horrible,’ to produce my own show and being able to hold out for the deal with Microsoft. It’s starting to pay off for me.”
Microsoft declined comment.
For those of you looking for a sneak peek at season three, you better hop on a plane and get your butt to Comic-Con where she’ll be putting on a panel and showing off the new season to lucky fans.
For those of you who are not familiar with The Guild, you should check it out, starting with episode #1.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
