Slashfilm reported that Peter Laird, One of the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is working on an idea for the new live action film that will have a “Batman begins” origin feel to it. He also says the film would introduce Shredder, April O’Neil and Casey Jones as well as many other characters from the Turtle Universe.
““I would not be unhappy to somehow see the tale of Baxter Stockman and the robotic ‘mousers’ folded into this movie, as well as some elements possibly setting up the TCRI connection for a possible sixth (or seventh) movie. But I think I’m getting a little ahead of myself there.””
Laird also went on to say that they are planning to return to the roots of the original comic book series. Personally, I can’t wait.
