Move Over Wolverine, Here Comes Deadpool

THR is reporting that Ryan Reynolds may not have got tons of screen time in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but he’ll more than make up for it now that his character, Deadpool is getting his own spin off.

Deadpool is known as “the merc with a mouth,” a character that under Reynolds lived up to his billing in “Wolverine” until the end, when the movie deviated from the comic book persona, imbuing him with several superpowers and sewing his mouth shut.

So what will be the story for the new movie? No one really knows, but I have some questions:

1. Will they make him ugly?
I really hope so. It was part of the fun that you could have with the Deadpool character. That said, i doubt they will want to spend tons of money covering up Ryan Reynold’s face.

2. Where will the pull the story from? Will it follow the movie line or the comics?
I’m not expecting to see Cable or anything like that, but It would be nice to see him working as an autonomous mercenary and possibly trying to seek some redemption like he did in the comics.

3. Will this movie ever get made?
There are so many Marvel movies on the slate right now, that its impossible to tell when things are really going to happen … if at all.
