On September 4th, the Disney Live-Action remake of Mulan is heading to Disney+. Today we are getting a new trailer for the film as well as some new details on just what is involved in the $30 premier pass viewing opportunity for the film on the streaming platform.

In an effort to clarify the rental process for the film, here’s what Disney+ released on their site:

“starting September 4, with Premier Access, you can watch Mulan before it’s available to all Disney+ subscribers. Disney+ will offer Premier Access to Mulan for $29.99 on disneyplus.com and select platforms. Once you have Premier Access to Mulan, you can watch as many times as you want on any platform where Disney+ is available. Your access to Mulan will continue as long as you are an active Disney+ subscriber.” For this fee, you’ll get the film in HDR, UHD, and Dolby audio, and you’ll be able to “stream & download for as long you have Disney+”

There is some interesting news in that statement. First, you have to keep you Disney+ subscription to keep the movie. Second, the movie will eventually be heading to Disney+ anyways. While the movie looks good, we have a feeling that most people are going to forgo the big fee and wait to see it when it’s covered in their normal subscriber costs to the streaming network.
