This mysterious short film developed by “District 9” director Neil Blomkamp was discovered in the latest iPad issue of Wired magazine.
Shot in a viral home made video kind of way, it shows two guys stumbling upon a weird dead pink creature laying in a puddle of water. It’s clearly nothing natural and has “18.12 – AGM Heartland. Pat. Pend USA” stamped on it.
Slashfilm decided to do a little investigating and found that “AGM Heartland” — the company referenced in the short — is trademark belonging to a Beverly Hills-based company for:
“Entertainment services by way of an online website with video, audio and textual content and images featuring characters and storylines about a fictional genetic engineering company that produces genetically engineered and altered organisms.”
The clip is definitely creepy and not much else is known about it. Enjoy it for it’s weirdness. We’ll let you know if anything new surfaces.
