While it is going to be a long time before any of your Favorite NBA teams suit up and head out into an arena, the NBA and ESPN have found a way to bring some of your favorite stars to the small screen, even if they can’t leave their homes.
Deadline is reporting that some of your favorite players will be taking part in a H.O.R.S.E. shooting competition to raise money for Covid-19 charities. The shoot-out will be filmed at the home courts of several players and it will be broadcast on Sunday, April 12th.
Participating in the competition are Chris Paul of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks, retired WNBA star and 2020 Hall of Fame inductee Tamika Catchings, Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine, Utah Jazz guard Mike Conley Jr., three-time WNBA All-Star Allie Quigley of the Chicago Sky, and NBA Finals MVPs Chauncey Billups and Paul Pierce are among the ballers.
Whether or not you are a basketball fan, you’ve got to respect the creative thought that they’ve put into bringing some form of the game to the fans at a time when the fans can’t go to the game.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
