Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Neil Patrick Harris will return in “A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas,” which is currently filming in Michigan.
“A rep for Neil Patrick Harris confirmed to EW that America’s favorite dancer/Dr./hallucinogenics enthusiast will be back for 2011′s ‘A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas’.”
An early script also hints that Kelly Ripa will have a cameo alongside NPH as the co-host of a television Christmas special. Ripa has not yet been confirmed for the film, however.
He’ll be joining John Cho and Kal Penn, as well as the new cast member Patton Oswalt about two stoner buddies and their misadventures. The third installation will have a Christmas theme and is directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson.
NPH pretty much stole the show in the sequel (so much that I have his poster adorn on my office wall), he’ll really have to step it up and do a hell of a lot more drugs/hookers to 1-Up himself in the latest Harold & Kumar installment. Christmas cannot come any sooner.
