There is a lot going on in the new trailer for Blade Runner 2049. Along with the first real footage of David Bautista’s role in the film, we also got to see a little bit more of the storyline as well as learning that Jared Leto appears to be the creator of all replicants and it sounds like he needs something from Deckard to amp up production. In the end it is looking like this is a story about whether replicants will supplant humanity as the main life form on earth or if us meat bags will once again rule the day.
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.>
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
