New CW ‘Batwoman’ Teaser Shows Us Batwoman, Nothing Else

If you wanted a new look at Ruby Rose in the cape and cowl from the CW’s newest DC superhero series, Batwoman, you are in luck. If you were hoping for a teaser that gives literally anything more than that… well, it’s called a teaser for a reason.

The New series, which is a spin-off of last year’s CW crossover event between Arrow, Supergirl, and The Flash, stars Ruby Rose as Kate Kane/ Batwoman. Honestly, we don’t know much more than that. In CW continuity, Batwoman currently exists on a different Earth, much like Supergirl does. However, it is rumored that next year’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover will probably bring the different dimensions together… while possibly also killing off Oliver Queen. That would make sense, given that Arrow is set to end at the end of its next season and it looks like Batwoman is being groomed as the freshman series meant to take its spot as the dark and broody hero in the CWverse.

Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane [Rose] soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.
