As far as we’ve gotten into the marketing cycle of this film without even really seeing a full trailer, it is starting to feel like they are hiding something. It’s possible, that based on the early complaints about whitewashing, bad casting, and other issues, that the studio is hiding footage to prevent a Fantastic Four level uprising. The new clip, clocking in at a whopping 13 seconds, gives us a look at Scarlett Johansson as The Major, or at least, as The Major in invisible mode, kicking the crap out of a baddie.
Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, “GHOST IN THE SHELL” follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotics advancements in cyber technology.
