It’s been a while since we’ve seen a GI Joe film on the big screen and even longer since we’ve seen a good one. We have known for a while now that Paramount and Hasbro were teaming up to make a Snake Eyes film, but THR is reporting that it isn’t the only Joe film in development.
The good and bad news is that Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec are working on the script. Why is it good and bad? Well, it’s good because they wrote Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and bad because they wrote one of the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle films. Either way, here’s what we know about the new project:
And that’s it. That’s really all we know and all we’ll probably know for a while. Until then, Snake Eyes is set to hit theaters on October 16, 2020.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
