On February 7, 2020, Locke & Key will finally have succeeded in its year’s long journey from comic book to live-action adaptation. Today, Netflix dropped a new teaser for the series that shows off some of the keys in action and helps lay down the stakes for people who didn’t read the highly-acclaimed series from Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez.

Based on the best-selling graphic novels, Locke & Key follows 3 siblings who, after the murder of their father, move to their ancestral home only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities.
After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them. From Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), the series is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family.
