New Poster For Peter Jackson’s ‘The Lovely Bones’

Peter Jackson’s adaptation of Alice Sebold’s bestseller “The Lovely Bones” nears its release, and today we get our first look at the new theatrical one-sheet.

The poster depicts Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan’s Susie Salmon in a surreal environment perfectly captures the aesthetic and tone of the film.

Joining Ronan in “The Lovely Bones” include actors Mark Walhberg, Rachel Weisz, Stanley Tucci and Susan Sarandon.

Expect “The Lovely Bones” to premiere December 11, 2009.

Synopsis: Based on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel by Alice Sebold, and directed by Oscar® winner Peter Jackson from a screenplay by Jackson & Fran Walsh & Philippa Boyens, “The Lovely Bones” centers on a young girl who has been murdered and watches over her family – and her killer – from heaven.
