A new trailer for Seth Rogen’s running food/sex pun film Sausage Party hit last night and damned if it doesn’t make me want to see it even more. If you aren’t familiar with it, it’s the story of a hot dog who gets purchased at the store and taken to a home, only to find out what people actually do with food.
The new trailer is not only filled with laughs, but it also gives us a better sense of the story. We now know that this isn’t just about the food. They’ll be reaching out to the humans in a desperate attempt to save themselves.
This movie is wrong on a lot of levels. That’s probably why the trailers are making me laugh. In a market where most of the films are homogenized and afraid to offend anyone, I hope this one does really well.
